Thank you for using our Chrome Extension! This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your information. We prioritize transparency and only collect data necessary to provide and improve our service.
What This Extension Does
This Chrome Extension helps you build flashcards from content you encounter online and export them to Anki or Clozemaster. We collect only what’s needed to make that possible.
Information We Collect
We collect the following data when you use the extension:
Your current tab’s URL – used for building contextual flashcards
Google account info (name and email) – required for login via Google Sign-In
Clozemaster token (via cookie) – used to authenticate and export flashcards on your behalf
Basic usage analytics – anonymized, used to improve functionality and understand how users engage with the extension
Crash reports and error logs – for debugging and improving stability
We do NOT collect
Your full browser history
Your passwords or sensitive site data
Your flashcard content unless you explicitly export it to a third-party service

Contact may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites. We encourage users to be aware when they leave Contact to read the privacy statements of other websites that collect personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by Contact.
In addition, Contact would like to inform you that anytime you click on links (including advertising banners), which take you to third party websites, you will be subject to the third parties’ privacy policies.
How Flashcard Data Is Handled
Flashcard content is stored locally in your browser by default
If you choose to export to Clozemaster, your cards are sent to their API using your token
Export to Anki will be available soon and will follow the same principle: user-initiated only
Cookies
We use a cookie from Clozemaster to authenticate your account with their API when you choose to export flashcards. No other cookies are set or tracked by us.
Third-Party Services We Use
To provide and support the extension, we work with these third parties:
Google – for authentication (Sign in with Google)
Clozemaster – to export flashcards when you choose to do so
OpenAI and Mistral – for language-related enhancements like translation or cloze suggestions
Azure – for hosting our backend services
These providers may temporarily process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
Authenticate you via Google
Provide and improve the extension
Let you export flashcards to supported platforms
Fix bugs and understand general usage patterns
We do not sell your data. We do not share your personal information with advertisers.
Account & Login Info
To use the extension, you must sign in with Google. We collect your name and email address solely for identification and support purposes.

With the third-party services listed above, only as necessary for functionality
Your Control
You can delete your local flashcard data at any time via your browser
You can revoke Google access from your Google Account settings
